During our three-years living in Paris, we often found ourselves searching for a hotel near Paris, usually under an hour or two, that we could quickly access to clear our heads and take in some much needed nature.
The great news is that you don’t have to get far outside of Paris to experience tranquility and some peace and quiet. Surrounding the French capital are beautiful hotels and accommodations perfect for a weekend getaway from Paris.

Every detail was well thought-out and executed in a way that I've rarely experienced even at the nicest hotels. We didn't bring our baby, but noticed all the amenities for children and family like plates for children, activities, high chairs etc. which made it look like a great stay for families. Can't wait to go back.

Le Barn Hotel

From the Reviews: Everything. Beautiful location, exceptionally friendly staff, delicious food and very welcoming. We went hiking on both days we were there. The bonus was we could take our dog and cat as the Barn is very pet friendly. The restaurant, reception and kitchen staff were all excellent. The quality of the food is very high and the menu changes for every meal. The reception team were accommodating and the restaurant team was attentive. We liked it so much we have already booked 2 nights over the Christmas holidays.

D’une Ile
Location: Rémalard, France
From the Reviews: You can feel history in the buildings thrown together to form a little village. Now they are the rooms, suites, kitchens, cafe, lounge room. All decorated with old French stuff, looks like thrown together but sooo tastefully done and it oozes sustainability. The mini sauna is fantastic and has a great nature view. The pool too small to try for us but we heard children having a ball. We walked a 10 km trail through the beautiful countryside of nature park Le Perche. We really loved it here. And the staff is really very nice, they speak English well and serve de-li-cious and very original food in its ingredients and combinations. For the veggie, they made gorgeous vegetable replacements. This place is worth a detour.

From the Reviews: I highly recommend a stay at Chateau de la Ruche! My husband and I stayed for three nights. It was one of the most relaxing stays we have had anywhere. Our room was very comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful and a joy to wander around. Tim and Rebecca provided recommendations for places to visit each day and some of them were straight out of a fairytale. If you are thinking about staying, just do it!
